Structural Demolition RAMS

DemolitionStructural demolitionUKCDM 2015Draft v1
1

Scope of works

This RAMS covers structural demolition carried out by demolition operatives on a UK construction or maintenance site. It sets out the method, the principal hazards and the control measures to be applied. Site-specific details (address, client, access, dates and supervisor) are completed for each job before the document is issued for principal-contractor review.

2

Sequence of works

  1. 1Review structural and asbestos surveys; agree the sequence
  2. 2Isolate services and set up exclusion zones
  3. 3Soft strip, then demolish in the planned controlled sequence
  4. 4Suppress dust and manage waste segregation
  5. 5Inspect the area and confirm stability throughout
3

Hazards, risk rating & controls

Risk = likelihood × severity (1–25). Initial is before controls; residual is with controls applied.
